Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. was carried off the court on Sunday night in the second quarter of his team's game against the New York Knicks after suffering a graphic right knee injury.

While driving to the hoop, Jones' right knee appeared to buckle, sending the 6-foot-7 forward falling to the floor. Jones immediately began clutching at his knee as staff and players rushed to assist him.

Jones was fouled on the play but unable to shoot the ensuing free throws. The 21-year-old was ruled out for the remainder of the game, according to the team.

The Heat later confirmed that Jones suffered a right knee injury, and he'll undergo further evaluation on Monday:

The high-flying forward is averaging a career-best 7.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game this season. He was rumored to be among the potential contestants in next month's All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest.
