Marcus Smart won't be suspended for his actions Saturday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Boston Celtics guard was fined $35,000 on Monday for "aggressively pursuing an opponent in an attempt to escalate a physical altercation and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection," NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe announced in a release.

The incident occurred in the third quarter, just minutes after Smart was assessed his first technical foul.

The 24-year-old was exchanging words with Hawks forward DeAndre' Bembry before the two were separated. Smart was promptly ejected but, instead of leaving the court, charged toward Bembry and needed to be restrained once again.

Bembry was also given a technical foul following a video review.

"He lost his cool after the ref told him he's ejected," Bembry told reporters postgame, according to ESPN. "I think after that he just thought he had nothing else to lose."

Smart is averaging 7.9 points, four boards, and 1.8 steals through 45 games this season.
