A new LeBron James documentary project could be in the works.

The Los Angeles Lakers star has been followed by camera crews related to a joint business venture between his company, SpringHill Entertainment, and NBA Entertainment, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.

McMenamin notes that the crews' purpose is unclear, "but footage is being collected and the tapes are being banked." He speculates it may be something similar to "More Than An Athlete" - a new ESPN+ docuseries about James' friendship and business relationship with Maverick Carter, Rich Paul, and Randy Mims - or the 2008 full-length documentary "More Than a Game."

This could explain why James was mic'd-up while giving his 11-year-old son Bryce a pep talk at a recent game.
