The newest member of the Washington Wizards is kind of a big deal.
The Wizards are reportedly signing Ron Baker, who was recently waived by the New York Knicks, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Okaro White will be waived to make room for the incoming guard.
Baker - who was famously referred to as "Burgundy" by ex-teammate Carmelo Anthony nearly two years ago - was let go by the Knicks on Thursday as a result of Allonzo Trier's two-way contract being converted to a main roster deal.
The 25-year-old Baker averaged 3.3 points, 1.8 assists, and 0.7 steals in 92 appearances across three seasons in the Big Apple after going undrafted in 2016.
