Orlando Magic rookie big man Mo Bamba was not active for his team's 101-76 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night due to a violation of team rules, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Bamba was hit with a team-issued suspension for the rule violation. Head coach Steve Clifford referred to it as a "one-game thing."

"It's just bad on my part, and I need to be better. I've got to be on time," Bamba said after the game.

Bamba still managed to make the most of his time on the bench, though, taking the opportunity to gain new insights.

"It's very difficult," he added. "You want to be out there, and you want to impact the game in any way possible. But you get to sit back and watch and see what you can do better at the same time."
