Joakim Noah and the Memphis Grizzlies appear to be inching toward an agreement. The veteran center will sign a one-year contract for the league minimum with the team next week, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The union has been widely reported for almost two weeks with the Grizzlies looking to add some depth behind Marc Gasol and Jaren Jackson Jr.

The 33-year-old Noah played just seven games for the New York Knicks last season before being waived in October. The veteran's minimum this year is just under $2.4 million.
