Terry Rozier is insisting his Tuesday morning tweet that created buzz around him and his feelings regarding the Boston Celtics was misconstrued.

The point guard made waves with the following tweet after his team dropped its second-straight game with a 117-112 road loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night:

While Rozier had a follow-up tweet over an hour later explaining that he wasn't referring to himself, the 24-year-old was asked about the post and the response he got online from fans following Boston's practice Tuesday.

"I wasn't talking about y'all," Rozier said, according to Mass Live's Tom Westerholm. "I've got a life outside of basketball...

"I mean, coming to a place like this, this type of organization with the die-hard fans, that's what it is. That's what you've got to accept. But at the end of the day we know the fans are going to ride for us. They've got our backs. And you've got some people that think (they're) GMs, but that's fine."

Rozier didn't come to an agreement on a contract extension with the now 9-8 Celtics prior to last month's deadline. He's currently averaging 8.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 37.1 percent shooting in 23.1 minutes off the bench.

Those numbers are well down from the 16.5 points, 5.3 boards, and 5.7 dimes he contributed during the team's playoff run last season, although that production came with teammates Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward sidelined due to injury.
