Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook returned to the lineup against the Sacramento Kings on Monday after missing the last six games with a sprained ankle and to be with his newborn twin daughters.

Westbrook suffered the ankle injury in the Thunder's win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 5. He returned to practice Friday before leaving for Los Angeles for the birth of his daughters.

He rejoined the team Monday.

The Thunder performed admirably without their superstar point guard, winning five of six games. They've won 10 of 11 after dropping their first four games of the season.

Backup point guard Dennis Schroder averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and six assists in Westbrook's absence.

Westbrook is averaging 24.1 points, 8.3 boards, and 8.9 assists in seven appearances this season.
