Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is out against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday with a "lingering" toe injury.

"Yeah we decided to give him some time off. We don't know how long it'll be in, but the toe has been lingering," said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. "He's going to miss tonight... But we need to give him enough time to knock this out and get him back on the floor."

Kerr added that Green "probably" won't also play Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs, noting that his injury is "a day-to-day thing."

Green was on a minutes restriction in the Warriors' last matchup against the Houston Rockets, failing to score a basket in 23 minutes of action as he returned from his suspension.

The three-time NBA Champion served a one-game suspension without pay because of “conduct detrimental to the team.” Green got in a confrontation with Warriors teammate Kevin Durant during the team's loss against the Los Angeles Clippers Nov. 12.

Green has been averaging 6.9 points, to go along with 7.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 13 games this year. The Warriors hold the best record in the Western Conference at 12-4.
