LaMelo Ball billboard appears near Cavs arena

LaMelo Ball is already getting the billboard treatment in Ohio.

A billboard welcoming the youngest Ball brother was put up in downtown Cleveland on Friday, just days after he announced that he'll be returning to high school to play for Spire Institute. It's located on I-90 near West 3rd Street, not far from Quicken Loans Arena, according to Ben Axelrod of WKYC-TV.

The billboard was produced by Overtime, which, according to Axelrod, describes itself as a "sports network for the digital generation that focuses on the next generation of athletes." The image of Ball is similar to the iconic LeBron James banner that once adorned the side of Cleveland's Sherwin Williams building.

Ball's new coach, Jermaine Jackson, told TMZ Sports earlier this week that he thinks the 17-year-old could be a future No. 1 NBA pick, possibly landing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
