Russell Westbrook left Monday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans with what the team later called a left ankle sprain. The injury occurred late in the third quarter when he landed awkwardly under the basket.

Westbrook limped to the locker room and did not return. The Thunder ended the third quarter on a 16-9 run after the injury and won 122-116.

He finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists in 25 minutes of action.

Westbrook underwent X-rays afterward, which came back negative, according to ESPN's Royce Young.
