After two days of rumors regarding the job security of Los Angeles Lakers bench boss Luke Walton, LeBron James gave the coach a vote of confidence of sorts Saturday.

"Listen, coaching staff put us in a position to win, and it's up to us to go up and execute," James said following L.A.'s 114-110 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

"Luke can care less about what's going on outside," he added. "We could as well. I'm the last person to ask about scrutiny or anything of that nature. So none of that stuff matters to me."

On Friday, a report surfaced that Lakers president Magic Johnson had reprimanded Walton over the team's poor start. Subsequent reports stated that Walton's job isn't in danger, while James said he wasn't paying attention to any of the news.

James led the way with 28 points Saturday, scoring 10 of those in the fourth quarter, as the Lakers snapped a 16-game losing streak in Portland.
