Kevin Knox's Puma deal includes gear for high school alma mater
New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox is using his endorsement deal with Puma to give back to his alma mater, Tampa Catholic High School.
As part of the deal, which Knox signed in September, Tampa Catholic's boys' basketball team will receive $10,000 worth of gear from Puma for the next four years, according to Bob Putnam of the Tampa Bay Times. As a result, the Crusaders were able to buy new uniforms, travel gear, and three pairs of shoes for every player.
"I still don't know how we're going to spend all of it," Tampa Catholic coach and athletic director Don Dziagwa said.
Knox also paid for the hotel rooms for the Crusaders' upcoming trip to the Las Vegas Prep Invitational in late December.
Along with Knox, Puma has inked deals with the Golden State Warriors' DeMarcus Cousins, the Phoenix Suns' Deandre Ayton, the Sacramento Kings' Marvin Bagley III, the Boston Celtics' Terry Rozier, and the San Antonio Spurs' Rudy Gay.
