A trio of NBA stars will have the night off Saturday, all avoiding an early-season back-to-back. Kawhi Leonard of the Toronto Raptors, Jimmy Butler of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Gordon Hayward of the Boston Celtics have all been ruled out of action for rest purposes.

All three played games Friday night, including the Leonard's Raptors and Hayward's Celtics against each other. Both of those players also missed most of last season with severe leg injuries.

In the T-Wolves' case, it's a rare DNP-rest for Butler, which could spark rumors that trade talks involving the four-time All-Star swingman are warming up again.

The Raptors visit the Washington Wizards Saturday night, the Celtics are in New York to play the Knicks, and the Wolves play the Dallas Mavericks.
