Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard did not play Monday night against the Utah Jazz.

It was originally anticipated that Leonard would sit out Monday due to rest on the second end of a back-to-back, but he ended up missing Sunday's win against the Los Angeles Lakers due to left foot soreness. On Monday, the team's media relations department called the issue "left ankle soreness."

It's the first time Leonard has missed consecutive games this season. Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said over the weekend that the team plans to continue resting its star on one end of back-to-backs.
