Kawhi suffered 'jammed foot' versus Suns; Nurse considers injury minor
Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard suffered what his coach Nick Nurse called a "jammed foot" late in Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns, according to the Toronto Star's Doug Smith.
Leonard finished with a team-high 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go along with six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block in the Raptors' 107-98 victory.
While jockeying for position in the paint on an offensive possession, Leonard appeared to move gingerly after a stoppage in play.
"I just pushed off on it ... kind of rolled it just pushing off and wanted to get a look at it," Leonard explained, according to Sportsnet's Eric Smith.
After the game, Nurse said he didn't believe the issue was serious, according to Doug Smith, an assessment Leonard echoed.
"I think it's going to be alright," Leonard said, per Eric Smith. "Nothing major."
