Good news, Golden State Warriors fans: Stephen Curry's availability for the season opener is not in jeopardy.

The Association will not penalize Curry nor injured teammate DeMarcus Cousins for stepping onto the playing surface during a minor fracas in the team's preseason game versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Just over three minutes into the fourth quarter, Lakers wing Lance Stephenson and Warriors guard Quinn Cook were involved in a quick dust-up after a contested layup, leading to the latter's ejection. Perhaps owing to the lower stakes of the preseason, both Curry and Cousins briefly walked onto the court - a major no-no in the post-Malice at the Palace NBA which usually triggers an automatic one-game suspension:

The league reportedly did not classify the contact between Stephenson and Cook as an altercation, negating the need for any further discipline.
