The Atlanta Hawks announced that center John Collins will miss at least three regular-season games after he underwent a non-surgical procedure on Monday for mild inflammation and soreness in his left ankle.
Collins will be re-evaluated on Oct. 22.
Atlanta selected the 21-year-old with the No. 19 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and expects him to become a long-term piece alongside Trae Young and Taurean Prince.
Collins averaged 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds across 74 games during his rookie season.
