Kareem Abdul-Jabbar among writers on 'Veronica Mars' reboot
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has joined the writers' room for the upcoming "Veronica Mars" reboot.
The show's creator, Rob Thomas, announced Monday that Abdul-Jabbar will be among those penning the series.

In addition to being the NBA's all-time leading scorer, Abdul-Jabbar is also a New York Times best-selling author who has written more than 10 books. His latest, "Mycroft and Sherlock," is set to release next month.
The original "Veronica Mars," which starred Kristen Bell as the title character, ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2007. Bell announced last week that she'll be reprising her role after Hulu picked up the revival.
