The Philadelphia 76ers interviewed David Griffin for their open general manager job this summer, but felt he wasn't a good fit for the front office, a source told The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey.

Griffin was linked with the Sixers after Bryan Colangelo departed the organization following this past spring's social media scandal. It was believed by some that the former Cleveland Cavaliers GM might have some sway in trying to lure LeBron James to Philadelphia, but that never materialized.

The 76ers are reportedly still looking at several possibilities for the position, including internal candidates like Elton Brand and external ones such as Rockets assistant GM Gersson Rosas.

Griffin has been dabbling in media work since parting ways with the Cavs in 2017.
