The Brooklyn Nets have guaranteed Spencer Dinwiddie's $1.65-million contract for next season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Dinwiddie's deal was unguaranteed until Oct. 31 and guaranteed for $250,000 until Jan. 10, 2019.

The 6-foot-6 point guard enjoyed the best campaign of his young career, averaging 12.6 points, 3.2 boards, and 6.6 assists in 80 games.

Dinwiddie entered last season as the third point guard on the depth chart before Brooklyn lost Jeremy Lin for the season with a ruptured patella tendon and missed D'Angelo Russell for 34 games after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee.

He will likely back up Russell and Allen Crabbe as a combo guard to start the year.
