The other former San Antonio Spurs player traded to the Toronto Raptors in Wednesday's blockbuster deal has spoken.

Danny Green told the Express-News' Jeff McDonald that he's excited to be moving to a team with a chance to win the Eastern Conference, but knows the focus will squarely be on Kawhi Leonard.

"There's going to be a magnifying glass on him now," Green said on Thursday. "He's going to be expected to do great things. I'm going to do all I can to help."

Both Green and Leonard are slated to undergo physicals Friday in Toronto. The Raptors will hold a news conference regarding the trade, although they have not stated if either player will be made available.

Leonard was limited to just nine games in 2017-18 as the result of a severe quad injury that strained his relationship with the Spurs organization to the breaking point. Green admitted the scenario - which led former teammates like Tony Parker to criticize Leonard - was uncomfortable.

"It was an awkward situation," Green said. "His decision, I still don't know exactly what happened."

While Leonard, a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, arrives in Toronto as the key player in the trade, Green is a solid 3-and-D guard in his own right. In 70 games last season, he averaged 8.6 points and just under one steal a game on 36.3 percent 3-point shooting.
