Hibbert uncertain on return: 'It's just time to move on'

Modern basketball has seemingly passed on Roy Hibbert, and it sounds like he's at peace with it.

Hibbert was asked by TMZ Sports if he has any interest in returning to play with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (or returning at all), and the center firmly stated "I'm good on it right now," adding, "It's just time to move on."

The 7-foot-2 giant enjoyed a successful run early in his career, becoming a two-time All-Star as a member of the Indiana Pacers during his seven-year stint with the franchise.

When Hibbert was traded to the Lakers in 2015, his career took a turn as the league became too fast-paced for a plodding and immobile big man in the middle. His final stint came in 2017 when he was traded by the Charlotte Hornets to the Denver Nuggets, where he appeared in just six games while receiving 11 minutes of combined court time.

If this does spell the end for Hibbert, he'll be remembered for his role in the Pacers' playoff run in 2013, where he averaged 22.1 points and 10.4 boards in a seven-game Eastern Conference finals series against James and the Miami Heat.
