Charles Barkley's reputation on the links certainly precedes him ahead of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, set to tee off Friday at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

Among the field populated by entertainers and jocks, the Harrah's and Harveys Race and Sportsbook gives the Hall of Fame forward the worst odds to win the tournament, listed at just 6000-1, according to the Reno Gazette Journal's Jim Krajewski.

Compared to his fellow NBA brethren participating in the tournament, Barkley sticks out like a sore thumb:

PLAYER AGE ODDS
Stephen Curry 30 15-1
Vinny Del Negro 51 30-1
Ray Allen 42 40-1
Dell Curry 54 40-1
Deron Williams 34 100-1
Chris Webber 45 2000-1
Charles Barkley 55 6000-1

It's not a great look for Chuck that his odds are longer than those of 73-year-old sportscaster Al Michaels (2000-1) and Larry the Cable Guy (5000-1).

On the other end of the spectrum, former Oakland Athletics pitcher - and three-time reigning tournament champ - Mark Mulder leads the pack with 5-2 odds to repeat, trailed by former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current broadcaster Tony Romo at 3-1.
