Report: LeBron to wear No. 23 with Lakers

Newly acquired Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will have No. 23 embroidered on his purple and gold jersey, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

Fanatics is already selling the official jersey as a "special event" item. According to the popular retailer, jerseys won't be shipped until James officially signs his contract and it's approved by the NBA.
The Lakers have retired 11 numbers. Luckily for James, his classic 23 isn't one of them.
