Report: Pistons, Robinson III to sign 2-year, $8.3M deal
A former Wolverine is heading back to the state of Michigan.
Glenn Robinson III has agreed to sign a two-year, $8.3-million deal with the Detroit Pistons, sources told Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
The deal includes a team option on the second year, Charania added.
Robinson struggled through his fourth NBA season, appearing in just 23 games for the Indiana Pacers after returning from an ankle injury suffered during training camp.
The 6-foot-6 forward possesses the athleticism and shooting touch to develop into a coveted 3-and-D wing, as evidenced by a 39 percent shooting percentage from distance over his last three seasons.
Robinson has high-level NBA pedigree in his blood as well, the son of two-time All-Star Glenn Robinson, who averaged 20.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game over 11 NBA seasons.
