Despite multiple reports that Kawhi Leonard wants out with an eye on his hometown of Los Angeles, the San Antonio Spurs haven't given up hope of a reconciliation, league sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Leonard and Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich reportedly met Tuesday. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski, Leonard is unhappy with Popovich and teammate Tony Parker over public comments they made last season regarding Leonard's quad injury.

The Spurs remain in a tight spot with Leonard. Should they not reconcile with their franchise player, they will have little recourse but to trade him before he can opt out of the final year of his contract next summer.
