There's not going to be much drama as far as Kevin Durant's free-agency decision is concerned.

Durant told Rachel Nichols of ESPN on Thursday that he plans to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors, as everyone would expect as he closes in on a second straight title with a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Durant did caution earlier this week that the contract details had yet to be hammered out, and that "anything could happen" in the NBA. But after getting the rings and the validation, Durant has no reason to leave - especially after he took a $9-million pay cut last summer.

Durant reportedly plans to opt out of his contract, but that deal was signed with an understanding he would re-sign this summer. The only challenge for the Warriors would be deciding how to make it work financially, as they also have three other All-NBA pieces to retain.
