The Charlotte Hornets have traded point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the No. 11 pick out of Kentucky, to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Hornets received the 12th pick, which they used on Michigan State forward Miles Bridges, and two future second-round selections.

Bridges averaged 17.1 points, seven rebounds, and 2.7 assists last season while shooting 36.4 percent from deep as a sophomore. The 6-foot-6 forward is an incredible athlete with strong two-way potential.

Gilgeous-Alexander, meanwhile, averaged 14.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists as a freshman. He has a slender frame, but Gilgeous-Alexander is widely viewed as the best point guard in the 2018 draft. The 19-year-old can be a cornerstone for the Clippers for many years to come.
