Despite his lone collegiate season marred by a back injury, it would appear NBA teams are not shying away from the possibility of spending a high draft pick on Michael Porter Jr.
The highly regarded but relatively untested forward, who played just three games at Missouri as a freshman, is unlikely to fall past the No. 7 pick currently owned by the Chicago Bulls, sources told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
Porter Jr. reportedly had to cancel his second pro day, scheduled for Friday in Chicago, due to muscle spasms.
The Bulls previously put Porter Jr. through a full medical examination, the results of which were shared with the league. That evaluation led one NBA executive to say: "There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him right now."
