The Golden State Warriors announced forward Andre Iguodala will sit Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Thursday against the Houston Rockets with a left lateral leg contusion, while guard Klay Thompson will play.

Iguodala missed the Warriors' Game 4 loss after a collision with James Harden in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Game 3.

Kerr told reporters that Iguodala is "dying to play, but he's not healthy enough," according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Thompson suffered a knee strain in the second quarter of Game 4 and was forced to leave. He returned before the end of the first half and finished the contest.

The Warriors are expected to start Kevon Looney in Iguodala's absence, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.

The series will head back to Texas for the crucial fifth game with the series tied 2-2.
