Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan can rest easy knowing the front office has his back.

In Wednesday's exit meeting with reporters, Thunder general manager Sam Presti gave a definitive "yes" when asked if Donovan would return for another season with the franchise, according to The Oklahoman's Fred Katz. He preached the need for continuity after dealing with constant roster reshuffling over the past three seasons.

"I think the best thing for him, and I think the biggest opportunity for him, is in the continuity," Presti said, according to The Oklahoman's Brett Dawson. "Additionally, just continuity in general, with the type of team we have assembled and the way it was assembled, generally, continuity is his best friend going forward."

After Paul George and Carmelo Anthony were brought in to join forces with Russell Westbrook, the bar was raised high for the Thunder, who were a year removed from making the Western Conference finals.

Oklahoma City (48-34) entered the postseason as the fourth seed but was quickly eliminated in Round 1 by the Utah Jazz.

Donovan is 150-96 in his three seasons with the club.
