The New Orleans Pelicans have voided 2,500 tickets purchased for the second round of the playoffs after a presale code was distributed beyond the group it was intended for.
"While this same password procedure has been used in the past without incident, the unprecedented demand for playoff tickets resulted in tickets being purchased by non-season ticket or partial season ticket holders," the team announced in a statement.
Under the promotion, season-ticket holders have first crack at purchasing more playoff tickets, followed by half-season-ticket holders, and so on.
