Bucks' Parker frustrated by lack of minutes, relationship with Prunty

Jabari Parker's relationship with current Milwaukee Bucks interim head coach Joe Prunty seems to be very much strained.

Having averaged just 12.5 minutes over the first two games in the opening round against the Boston Celtics, the 23-year-old forward admitted frustration and chalked up his limited playing time to not being in Prunty's good books.

"I don't think so," a smirking Parker said Thursday when asked if he was on his coach's good side, according to WISN's Stephen Watson.

It wasn't until Feb. 2 at Madison Square Garden that Parker made his 2017-18 regular-season debut, as he'd been sidelined while recovering from a second torn ACL in his left knee.

Upon returning, Parker was relegated to a reserve role after starting all but five games throughout his first three seasons in Milwaukee. Across 31 contests, he averaged 12.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in a career-low 24 minutes per game.

"I am human. I have a right to be frustrated. I've waited two years for this," he added.

Parker also said near the tail end of the season that he was unsure about his future in Milwaukee. He's set to enter restricted free agency this summer, while not knowing whether he's involved in the Bucks' long-term plans.

His performance against Boston, though, hasn't exactly been a solid indicator that he should be playing more. Parker has connected on just one of his seven shot attempts, and the Bucks have been outscored by 29 points in the 25 minutes he's seen the floor.
