The Utah Jazz won't know until right before Game 2 whether or not their star rookie will be available.

Donovan Mitchell, who's dealing with a left foot contusion, said he's a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"I feel pretty good," he told reporters Wednesday afternoon. "I went through one of our drills, went through shootaround. I'm pretty much a game-time decision right now. It's looking good right now I think."

Mitchell suffered the injury during the Game 1 loss when Corey Brewer stepped on his foot. He had the foot checked during halftime and re-entered the contest in the second half, but was noticeably hobbling. Though the Rookie of the Year contender desperately wants to play, he won't rush back out of fear of further injury.

"I'm not one to just call it if it's iffy. I'm real determined on playing but if my body can't, I'm not gonna push it now and not be available the rest of the series," he said. "I think there's just a matter of being smart with it as well ... It's tough for me because I wanna play through anything."

The No. 13 pick registered 27 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in his playoff debut. He was upgraded to questionable for Game 2 on Tuesday.
