Joel Embiid has undergone testing on both his injuries, and the results are encouraging.

The Philadelphia 76ers center underwent a post-operative exam following Saturday's surgery on the orbital bone fracture in his left eye, the team announced.

Embiid, who in addition to the orbital fracture, suffered a concussion after a head-to-head collision with teammate Markelle Fultz last week. The All-Star center was cleared by an independent neurologist earlier this week, but must begin non-contact cardiovascular exertion steps in order to complete the NBA's concussion protocol.

Although the medical staff was "pleased" with his progress, there remains no timetable for Embid's return. It was reported last week he'd miss two-to-four weeks, which would mean he'll be sidelined to open the playoffs, though he hopes to be back early in the first round.

The 76ers qualified for the postseason for the first time in six years, and are in fourth place but sit a mere half-game back of third.
