Canada has a new stop on the NBA's scouting tour, with the league office giving the go-ahead for the new Signature All-Canadian Showcase, to be held April 23 in Mississauga, Ontario, just outside of Toronto.

"This is an opportunity for us to showcase the talent we have in Canada," organizer Dwayne Washington told ESPN'S Jonathan Givony. We want to give people in Canada the access to see all these kids before they head to college."

With the high school showcase officially certified, NBA scouts will be able to attend, getting an in-person look at several of the nation's top prospects - including 2018 Duke commit R.J. Barrett. The highly touted forward is the top-ranked prospect on the ESPN 100.

Pro scouts will see their fair share of Canadian talent in April. In addition to the Signature All-Canadian Showcase, the BioSteel All-Canadian Game - the only other Canadian high school showcase officially sanctioned by the NBA - is set for April 9.
