Jaylen Brown is sick of being on the sidelines.

The Boston Celtics guard has been out of action with a concussion since March 8 after losing his grip on the rim following a dunk and crashing hard to the ground on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Brown is currently traveling with the team for their Western Conference road trip, though, and told reporters Thursday he hopes to be back in the lineup Sunday against the Sacramento Kings barring any setbacks, according to MassLive.com's Tom Westerholm.

"I'm feeling a lot better. Just trying to take my time and just get back to ... well, I'm trying to hurry up and get back to the floor. I'm tired of not playing," said Brown. "Just trying to make sure I'm 100 percent and take care of the neck, back, and head area because it's crucial. Just make sure all of those areas are covered, and get back to my team as soon as possible."

The 21-year-old recounted the moment he suffered the concussion against Minnesota, and that his mother would prefer he never dunked again.

"I remember waking up and there was a bunch of people. I remember slipping off the rim and I remember waking up and there was a bunch of people standing around me and I was like what the hell is going on," Brown added. "I had no idea I had been out for like 30 seconds or whatever they said I was out for."

Boston has gone 2-3 in the five outings Brown has missed, and remains in possession of the No. 2 seed in the East with a 48-23 record, which is a full six games up on the No. 3-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, but 4.5 games behind the first place Toronto Raptors.

In his second season with the franchise, Brown has averaged 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.9 steals on 46 percent shooting across 61 appearances.
