The scandals keep on coming for collegiate sports.

Retired NBA player Nate Robinson says that while he was a student, he was offered $100,000 to return to the football team by a booster on behalf of the University of Washington.

"For my three years at UW, I had a booster offer me $100,000 per year to come back and play football because they needed Nate Robinson back on the football field because we weren't winning any games, it wasn't exciting," Robinson said on his podcast "Holdat" with Carlos Boozer.

The offer was brought before Robinson and his mother, at which point he had a decision to make. He ultimately passed up the cash and shifted his focus to basketball.

"My mom was just like, 'What do you want to do? It's up you. This is your life, not mine.' I told my mom I was going to have to kindly say no thank you, but my dream is to play basketball and earn everything that I got," Robinson said.

Robinson played both football and basketball for the Huskies as a freshman, but dropped football after the first season. His efforts paid off, as Robinson was drafted 21st overall in 2005 and enjoyed a decade-long career in the NBA.
