The Chicago Bulls officially waived Tony Allen on Friday, putting the veteran defensive specialist on the free-agent market.

Interested suitors include the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets, sources told NBA TV's David Aldridge.

The 36-year-old Allen is coming off an injury, but his still-pesky perimeter defense is something many contenders could use off the bench.

While not much of an offensive factor any longer, Allen did shoot 48 percent from the floor in 22 games with the New Orleans Pelicans this season.
