The Cleveland Cavaliers are staying persistent in trying to swing a trade with the Charlotte Hornets for Kemba Walker, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who reports their remains no traction.

Hornets general manager Rich Cho said Wednesday that Walker isn't on the market, but the team would do due diligence in listening to offers. That more or less echoed comments by owner Michael Jordan last month, who said he'd only trade his franchise point guard for another star player.

Given the Cavs' desire to upgrade its roster immediately, it's unknown who they could offer outside of the underperforming Isaiah Thomas.

Walker, 27, is under contract through next season.
