This should come as no surprise to anyone following along to the dysfunction afflicting the Cleveland Cavaliers.

One rival executive told Ken Berger of Bleacher Report that Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert - not general manager Koby Altman - is the ultimate decision-maker for the Cavaliers.

"The word is out that Dan is running things," the rival exec said. "Frankly, that's where he's happiest and the role he's most comfortable in."

Berger also reports that Gilbert accompanied Altman as they scouted out the Oklahoma-Alabama game this weekend, a matchup that featured two premium draft prospects in Trae Young and Collin Sexton.

Again, this should surprise no one. Gilbert carries the infamous reputation for never having signed any general manager to a second contract, and he let the architect of his 2016 championship in David Griffin walk this summer in favor of a mostly untested 35-year-old executive in Altman.
