The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly been awarded a $2.75-million disabled player exception for center Alexis Ajinca, a league source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Ajinca is likely done for the season after undergoing surgery on his right knee in December. He is expected to miss four-to-six months.
He did not play a game in the 2017-18 campaign. In October, Ajinca received bilateral knee injections in hopes his patellar tendinitis could be treated without surgery, and was only expected to miss four-to-six weeks after that treatment.
