A setback in Tony Allen's ongoing recovery will keep him sidelined even longer.

Originally ruled out for three-to-four weeks back on Dec. 12 with a non-displaced proximal fibula fracture, the New Orleans Pelicans guard will now miss another two-to-four weeks after re-aggravating the injury, according to FOX Sports' Jennifer Hale.

"We'll know more after I speak to the doctors, but I don't know enough to comment on it right now," Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said of Allen's injury after Wednesday's 105-102 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to NOLA.com's William Guillory. "But it looks like it's going to be a couple weeks."

Allen joined the Pelicans over the offseason on a one-year contract worth $2.1 million. He's made 22 appearances, averaging 4.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in a career-low 12.4 minutes as a reserve.

The 36-year-old has been named to the NBA's All-Defensive first team three times and won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
