Isaiah Thomas has avoided a suspension for his actions Monday night.

The NBA handed the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard a $20,000 fine for his flagrant-2 foul on Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins.

As Wiggins attacked the basket, Thomas stuck his right arm out and struck him right below the neck, resulting in an immediate ejection.

The incident occurred midway through the third quarter, with the Cavs trailing by 30 points. They'd go on to lose the game 127-99.

It was just Thomas' third appearance with Cleveland since returning from a hip injury he suffered as a member of the Boston Celtics during last year's playoffs.
