The Indiana Pacers will battle two of the Eastern Conference's top teams without the services of their starting center.

Myles Turner will miss Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat and Friday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an elbow injury he sustained Monday in Indiana's 13-point win over the Milwaukee Bucks, the team announced Wednesday.

These will be Turner's first absences since he missed seven outings at the start of the campaign because of a concussion.

Following a strong sophomore year, Turner's play has been fairly disappointing, with his minutes (29.2), points (13.9), shooting percentage (49), and rebounds (6.5) all dipping. Domantas Sabonis' rise also factors into Turner's decline, as he's taken on a larger role than many expected after coming over from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Indiana owns a 21-19 record, good enough for the eighth seed in the East. Victor Oladipo just returned to the lineup last Saturday, with the Pacers winning both of their games since.
