Things could be a lot worse for the Toronto Raptors.

Kyle Lowry is listed as day to day with a bruised tailbone and back spasms as a result of a scary fall late in Monday's win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Perhaps relieved his point guard didn't sustain a more serious injury, head coach Dwane Casey cracked a dad joke about it on Tuesday.

"It's an example of Kyle busting his butt for the team," said Casey, as quoted by Raptors Republic's Blake Murphy.

The reigning Eastern Conference Coach of the Month indicated he doesn't know how long Lowry will be sidelined for, but that the All-Star floor general will return when his body feels ready.

Lowry, 31, is averaging 16.2 points, seven assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 32.8 minutes for the No. 2 Raptors. Delon Wright will start in his stead Tuesday against the Miami Heat.
