The Detroit Pistons are one of the teams that pursued a deal for Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Pistons could use another shooter and more backcourt depth. One hindrance to a trade, per Wojnarowski, is the continuing injury to point guard Reggie Jackson, whose contract would likely be needed to swing a deal. Jackson is out until after the All-Star break with a badly sprained ankle.
Detroit had been rumored to be interested in jettisoning Jackson previously, something Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy felt the need to shoot down at one point.
Fournier, meanwhile, is hitting career highs in scoring (17.9) and 3-point percentage (40.5) for Orlando.
