Jeff Teague out indefinitely with sprained left knee
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jeff Teague is set to miss an indefinite amount of time after an MRI revealed a Grade 1 sprain of the MCL in his left knee, the team announced Thursday.
Fortunately for Teague and Minnesota, tests did not discover any structural damage.
There is optimism from within the franchise that Teague could return in two-to-four weeks, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The 29-year-old was hurt late in Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Following a jump ball with 16.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Nuggets guard Gary Harris barreled into Teague's left knee as players on both teams attempted to corral the loose ball. Teague immediately fell to the floor in pain, then left the game with the assistance of training staff and his teammates.
