A couple of high-volume scorers from California dominated the NBA this past week.

Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan and Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook were named Players of the Week for games played Dec. 18-24, the league announced Tuesday.

DeRozan put up 34 points, 4.3 assists, four rebounds, and a steal as the Raptors went 3-0. The All-Star has been uncharacteristically hot from long range, and notched a career-high 45 points in Thursday's comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers. It's his second POTW nod this season and seventh overall, tying Vince Carter and Chris Bosh for the most in franchise history.

Westbrook led the Thunder to a perfect week, averaging 29.8 points on 59.8 percent shooting from the field, 50 percent from deep, and 85 percent from the free-throw line. He also chipped in 9.5 assists, nine rebounds, and 2.5 steals in the four games, and was an impeccable plus-16.8.

The reigning league MVP hung a season-high 38 points on the Denver Nuggets and registered a monster triple-double in Saturday's victory in Utah.
